George Jones was married to fellow country singer Tammy Wynette from 1969 to 1975. They recorded many popular duets, including “We’re Gonna Hold On” (1973) and “Golden Ring” (1976), and were known as “the king and queen of country music.” After their divorce, they continued to record and perform together, such as the albums Together Again (1980) and One (1995).
