The “Big Five” are the countries whose public broadcasting services make the largest financial contributions to the production of the Eurovision Song Contest: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Along with the winner of the previous year’s contest, these countries automatically qualify for a spot in the Eurovision finals.
