Kerr county was hardest hit by the floods, with the majority of the region’s more than 120 total deaths occurring there. Roughly one-third of those who died in Kerr county were campers and staff from Camp Mystic, a girls’ summer camp situated in a low-lying floodway along the Guadalupe River.
