The first permanent disc golf course was established in 1975 at Oak Grove Park (now Hahamongna Watershed Park) in Pasadena, California. The course, used for that year’s World Frisbee Championships (WFC), featured 18 pole targets and was designed by Ed Headrick, one of the founders of disc golf. There are now over 15,000 courses worldwide for amateur and professional play.
