According to legend, as Wenceslas I’s remains were being transferred to the Church of St. Vitus in Prague in 932, prisoners were freed from their chains and shackles as his body passed a prison during the procession. Other miracles attributed to Wenceslas include the cases of a woman who regained her sight and the use of her arms after praying at Wenceslas’s tomb and a man with paralysis who was healed after experiencing a dream in which he was instructed to pray for the intercession of Wenceslas at the Church of St. Vitus.
