Seth Meyers joined Saturday Night Live (SNL) in 2001 and became co-head writer by 2006 and later the sole head writer. He coanchored the “Weekend Update” segment with Amy Poehler from 2006 to 2008 then anchored it solo from 2008 to 2013. During his time on SNL, Meyers portrayed famous performers and politicians, including Russell Crowe and John Kerry.
