American Alpine skier Lindsey Vonn won four women’s World Cup overall championships (2008–10 and 2012). In 2019 she became the first woman to win 82 World Cup races. At the time she announced her retirement, in 2019, she had also won three Olympic Winter Games medals and eight world championships medals. In 2024 she ended her retirement and returned to competition. In December 2025 she secured a spot on the U.S. national team that will compete in the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
