Among Vishvakarma’s many accomplishments, notable creations include the city of Lanka and the vimana (flying palace or aerial car) called Pushpaka in the Ramayana, the cities of Indraprastha and Dwarka in the Mahabharata, svarga (heaven), Shiva’s trident, Vishnu’s discus, Indra’s thunderbolt, and the wooden statues of the god Jagannatha and his siblings at Puri, Odisha.
