In 1942, while under Japanese occupation, Thailand declared war on the United States. However, Thai Ambassador Seni Pramoj refused to deliver the declaration, so the U.S. maintained Thailand was neutral. After the war, Thailand was not treated as a defeated enemy thanks in part to Seni’s action (or inaction, as it were).
